25 Weeks Pregnant

How far along today?: 25 weeks 1 day, however the picture was taken at 25 weeks.
Style:  Of course my maternity shirts, maternity jeans and gym shorts.  The weather has either been really hot all week or kinda chilly.
Growing?: Yes!
Best moment of the week?: Feeling you kicking like crazy after I ate the O'Charley's chicken tenders. Cravings: Still Penn Station and ice cream.
Baby moving yet?: Oh yes it is unreal how much he is moving around.  Feeling him roll now which is really weird.
Still nauseous?: Not really, but the OMG I am going to throw up feeling could go away, or at least give me some warning.
Belly button popped?: Definitely going to pop before you are born!
Wedding rings on or off?: STILL looking around for a matching band set for your daddy and I.
Mood: NESTING!!! I have not only cleaned our house but Grandma Bunny's also.
Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!

So we are really trying to prepare for what life will be like when you get here.  We are trying to get on a schedule for cleaning the house and such so that it will not be so hard to do it when we are dead tired.

Mommy has been off of work for the last week and it has been so nice, but I am afraid I have gotten too used to it.  I do not want to go back to work tomorrow night lol.

Today when I went to get lunch, was the first time I had the feeling of, "OH CRAP! I am gonna throw up right now!!!"  And without any warning I lose my lunch.  Well I could not open the car door in time, and needless to say that a small bit of it was on the window and my clothes. But what is even more disgusting is not only do I clean myself up somewhat, but as I am driving home I finish eating what it is that made me sick.

Oh and not to mention this throwing up, like I did is making me beautiful, NOT!! I have bursted the blood vessels around my eyes and on my cheeks.  I look like I have a really bad acne breakout or that I have chicken pox on my face.  SEE:

I could not get a great picture of them, but you can get the gist of it from these photos. They make me kinda self conscious.  But I can't wear foundation to cover them cause my skin is uber sensitive right now.

Oh well, stay tuned for our next update.

Beautiful weather & Baby disco parties...

So whether or not I have posted this before I currently work night shift.  Since starting this position last year I have had a very wacky sleep schedule to say the least.  Since becoming pregnant that has gotten 10 times as bad.

On the nights before I head into work I will typically sleep the whole night before and then the whole day of as well.  Which makes my first night well rested and fresh feeling.  On the second night back I tend to sleep for about 4 or 5 hours, which makes for a rough night.  Today I am lucky to have gotten 3 hours but I will not complain....TOO MUCH.

My husband being the cold bug he is has refused to let me turn on the air as of yet....my preggo butt is dying!!!  So as I lay down to sleep this morning I was already breaking a sweat, it was only 60 something outside and like 65 in my house.
We had all of the windows open and fans going, I turn to look at my husband who had chattering teeth and was all bundled up in his covers, we don't share, cause I like light covers and he likes heavy covers.

So finally around 9 am I fall asleep after tossing and turning and attempting to get comfortable.  When I wake up at 115pm STARVING.  This is not unusal for me, I will typically wake up at least once during my sleep needing to eat something.  So Chris makes me a sandwich and I lay back down in attempts to get some shut eye.

I toss and I turn and I turn and I toss and yet sleep prevails me......want to know why?
I will pretend you do.

Not only am I sweating still...but now the gorgeous weather has blown open my curtains, I can see the beautiful clouds in the sky.  I can hear the kids outside in our complex screaming and playing and having so much fun, and last but not least my precious unborn son is having a disco party in my uterus!

Not only is this the most AMAZING feeling but it gets my mind wandering about what life will be like Alex is here.  It is so mind boggling that just 6 months ago I would have never pictured my life where it is now, but looking forward I could not imagine it any other way.

Everyday as I pass what will soon be his nursery I just stop and stare at his crib and bedding.  I look around and envision his changing table on this wall and his bookshelf on that wall.  I can almost see the BEAUTIFUL & COMFY glider and ottoman in that corner and it brings tears to my eyes.

It continues to amaze me that God has blessed us with this miracle that doctors said would possibly never happen.  This little man is 50% me and 50% of the man of my dreams.  It is unreal to think about.

Well be looking forward to my 24 week blog post on Tuesday!

Your Daddy's birthday falls just a few days after Valentine's Day so I knew since I ruined Valentine's I had to make it up to him.  So this year he has been very good at putting the bug in my ear that he wanted a Kindle Fire or some type of tablet.  So the day of his birthday party/your ender reveal party I went to Best Buy with your Aunt H and bought him the Kindle Fire and also a $50 Amazon gift card so he could buy books and apps.
Needless to say I was too excited to keep it from him so when I got home I gave it to him and he was beyond excited!! He was like a kid in a candy shop.

So as we were preparing for the day Mommy got sleepy so Aunt H and I layed down and we took a nap while Daddy and Uncle O went and finished picking up things for the party.  When I woke up I began making all of the food for your party and getting myself ready.  We decorated quite a bit for your party here are some pics:

Your grandma's opening the box to reveal who you are!
So excited that you are a boy!

Daddy opening some of his birthday presents.

So now that I will be 24 weeks tomorrow I think  it is time to finish this post and get on with my errands for the day.

Gender: IT'S A BOY!!!

So I told you I would explain our Valentine's Day that I slept through....

This year Valentine's Day fell on a Tuesday and I had worked the night before.  When I came home I caught up on some of my shows on the DVR and then I went to visit my uncle in the hospital with my mom.  After the visit we went to lunch and shopping, this was when I got my lovely maternity jeans!

By the time I got home I had been up for nearly 24 hours.  My AMAZING husband had a bubble bath waiting for me when I got home, with candles lit and everything.  So as I relaxed in the tub, I eventually fell asleep while soaking.  Chris came in after I had been in there for about an hour, woke me up and helped me into bed where he gave me a back and foot rub!  Needless to say I was passed out in about 2 minutes.

A few hours into my nap Chris came and told me that dinner was ready.  He told me he had made steak and mashed potatoes and had a special surprise.  Well I hate to say it but I shut him down, in my sleepen stupor.  Turns out he had made an excellent candlelit dinner and I felt and still feel like ABSOLUTE CRAP, for doing that.

So that is really the extent of our day.  I will explain next week how I made it up to him and go further into detail about our gender reveal party!
